Pro Comm Inc. started in 1976 by Harold W. Stegman and his wife Nancy J. Stegman. Harold W. Stegman had 20 years of radio experience from his work in the United States Airforce and Cook Communications.

In 1978 Harold T. Stegman (Jr.) began working with his parents as a technician. Harold (Jr.) became the sole owner of Pro Comm Inc. in 2009, 1 year after Harold Sr. passed. In 2009 the business was moved from Airport Rd. to Independence Drive in Mt Pleasant. This move provided a new and bigger facility to better accommodate the rapid growing customer base.
