Teldio Indoor Positioning System

Indoor Positioning System (IPS) allows organizations to locate and track employees and assets using any fully-discoverable Bluetooth device, including MOTOTRBO™ radios equipped with a Bluetooth adapter. IPS provides real-time location data of radio and mobile phone users using strategically placed Bluetooth beacons. It can be used in conjunction with ACS to trigger an alarm notification if a worker or asset enters or leaves certain predefined zones, or it can be used with CLW to provide location data of a worker in distress.

  • Bluetooth® beacons are installed to create the desired coverage zones and can be powered by plugging them into a standard electrical outlet or via PoE
  • IPS piggybacks onto a LAN to significantly reduce the costs of the solution and requires little infrastructure to put in place
  • Visual overview of employee and asset locations in the coverage zones. Each device is represented on the overview map and identified by the owner’s name and title
  • Restricted access alarms automatically notify dispatchers and mobile workers if unauthorized people or assets enter restricted zones or leave designated zones
  • Location-based activation and deactivation of CLW
  • Rich reporting tools record the person or asset’s position and movements
  • Past whereabouts of employees and assets are also accessible with the reporting features
  • Administrator access to the visual web interface from any computer or device over the LAN
  • Enhanced Worker Safety and Security

    During emergencies, IPS proves very useful to supervisors and administrators when in need of accounting for the presence of employees and other important assets. IPS can further help with implementing H&S measures by pairing it with CLW Centralized Lone Worker. Together, the two applications monitor the well-being of lone workers and notify emergency response teams of the location of the worker when in need of help.

  • Improved Situational Awareness

    IPS allows for improved situational awareness within buildings. With IPS, ins and outs of employees and assets are logged and time stamped for important areas of buildings, like entrance and exit points and in restricted areas. Also, when paired with ACS, IPS can automatically trigger an alarm notification when an employee or asset leaves a safe zone or enters a restricted zone.

    IPS allows dispatchers, supervisors and administrators to quickly locate employees and assets. By logging onto the web client, these individuals have up-to-date information on the location of their most important employees and assets. IPS is a great tool to help them decrease the loss of time and productivity caused by searching for workers and assets.
